As with every program at The Classical School, athletics has the school’s Portrait of a Graduate as its aim.
At TCS, our athletic program is rooted in the belief that athletics provides a unique opportunity to cultivate virtue, excellence, and a strong work ethic, all while enhancing the culture of our community. Athletics are a platform for developing virtues, such as perseverance, humility, temperance and fortitude. Our program emphasizes the importance of grit, hard work, and the pursuit of excellence through discipline and dedication. ‘Diligence in all things’ is one of our stated READ Principle aims and we believe God calls us to give our best effort in all things. Our definition of success is not measured merely by victories, but also by effort, persistence, and commitment shown in everything we do. Through competition and camaraderie, our athletes will learn to put the needs of others above their own, demonstrate grace in both victory and defeat, and grow in their love for the Lord and for others.
In our first year as the TCS Lions we intend to have School of Logic and School of Rhetoric Cross Country, Track and Basketball.
We offer a Classical curriculum steeped in a Biblical worldview to inspire students to become people who love learning, serve others, and follow Jesus.
