Trinity Lutheran Church began a preschool ministry in 1985. In that first year, there were 26 students (2 classes) enrolled with one teacher and one teacher’s aide. For 2007, the preschool has 152 students (11 classes) with 4 teachers and 5 teacher’s aides! It is the mission and vision of Trinity working together with church and family, to provide Christ-centered learning experiences. We are dedicated to the total education of the child - mind, body and soul. We strive to provide for the students' spiritual, moral, social, physical, emotional and intellectual growth for all students and staff. With God and this strong mission and vision leading the program, Trinity Lutheran Church added to their preschool ministry and began an elementary school ministry in 1999. The first year, there were 9 students enrolled. The program has grown tremendously and in 2005 the elementary school and preschool merged into one outstanding organization named Trinity Christian School. At the time of this merger, the organization moved into the Trinity Education Center located in Trinity Lutheran Church at 38460 Lincoln Trail in North Branch, Minnesota. The leadership of Trinity Christian School also merged into one governing body composed of seven-member school board that work closely with the Church Council regarding school matters. The school board also works closely with the Trinity Christian School administration consisting of School Administrator, Preschool Director and Office Manager. The school board has collected data and information regarding our enrollment. Growth over the past two years has shown a trend of increase at the approximate rate of 12 percent per year. For the 2007-2008 school year, Trinity Christian School is excited to offer families many options for preschool times and dates, as well as, all-day, every-day kindergarten. These programs have been great additions to our current programs, including our half-day kindergarten. We now have a beautiful, colorful building filled with 152 awesome, eager preschoolers from age 3 on up and 86 wonderful elementary students enrolled in grades Kindergarten–5th Grade. Trinity Christian School currently employs 1 Office Manager, 1 Preschool Director, 1 School Administrator, 10 preschool and elementary teachers, 5 teacher's aides, and 4 specialist teachers. Our specialist teachers provide instruction to the students in the following curricular areas: Physical Education, Spanish, Music, and Computer. With all of the variety of staff we are able to fully carry out the works and mission that God has given to us. Trinity Christian School touches lives with the love of God and helps students establish a solid foundation with a Christian-based educational journey. We strive to fulfill our purpose of providing a nurturing environment for each student's education, growth and development. Our goal is for students to view themselves as capable and independent learners. We endeavor to provide each student learning experiences in a loving Christian atmosphere. The beliefs of each Trinity Christian School family, child and staff member will be respected as we fulfill our purpose of providing a nondenominational Christian education. While we believe God has given the primary responsibility for the instruction and development of children to their parents, we seek the opportunity to work hand-in-hand as partners in teaching and working with each child to maximize their potential.
